 Hippone The dead alive city

   At about  four centuries BC Hippone was flourished as an important military and economic city in the southern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. its situation in the sea shore,  and with the shade of the Edough mountain ,make it safe from  strong winds  and invaders, the east were the only window on the sea, this make the city out of invasion and natural disasters, defend it were very easy with this condition. Hippone was the important window of the Roman Empire on its part of North Africa.

    Hippone had a large harbor where boats load, unload cargoes from Africa to he different parts of the Roman Empire, and from the others parts to Africa.

     We know that Mauritania -Algeria today-was the wheat, cereal store of Roman Impair on addition of other farming products and hand crafts productions, Its houses was built with local material and carved stones, huge limestone masts and arcs made locally by skillful craftsmen, wonderful mosaic decorated the inner houses, mosaicist invented many wonderful form and pictures .Streets laid with carved stones with underground tunnels to carry the wastes away.

     Engineers using cylindrical pieces of bronze to link the broken marble masts together with high techniques. Public baths, gardens and squares made the city more beauty and more attractive.       

     Throughout  the remaining things we abbreviate that high civilization rose in Hippone and its regions ,the theatres was one of many things witnesses of this movements when culture flourished with different faces :poetry ,sciences, math, philosophy ,arts ,paint, carving and crafts. The great philosopher Augustinous was the first teacher in the Hippone School and university.

      In the field of industries many things made locally: shoes, clothes, weapons, pottery and many things and tools for every day needs over needs send to other cities as changes.

       Some available things of those days collected in little museum, careless and bad organization made more and more the things lost and stolen to sell away.

        Thank you Hippone the dead alive city! I thank your bright days goon  far away in history layers ,to day you are dead city as matters , but you are alive city as moral and remembers, thank for who gave us a precious lessons about life .

        The envious city of today envies you, green with envy, that you were the more beauty in your golden days!

عنابة عروس الشرق الجزائري الماضي والحاضر.اعرف بلادك أيها العربي،مع أرق التحيات من عروس الشرق.

الشمس لما بدت° بنورها لمعت° تألقــت بشمــوخ في الســماء ارتفـعــــت

والبحر لرؤيتها°هـام ببهـــجتها ° فأرسل موجه تحيــة بالـــــجلال سمــــت

عزفها دفء المتاع°تشنف نغمته السماع°والصخر عانقــــــها لما عليه همت

تراقص الموج جذلان°بياض الزبد تيجان°أما الرمال فمن فرط فرحتها دمعت

إيدوغ يحرسها°بالحب ينفحها°قام يدللها ربّت على رأسها،على ركبتيه جثــت  

وهكذا حفلت °بالعز قد رفلت ° عنابة  العز للعلا سمقت

توسدت من إيدوغ ذروة الشـــمم°°°وطاولت في شموخ عالي الشــيم

يا بونة العز الأثيل مـــنذ بــــــدا°°°تاريـــــــخ أمتنا وباعث الــــرّمم

في كل ركن ترى الآثار ناطــقة°°°بكل فخروأسمى الفخر في الحِكم

وعبّ منك النهى درس وموعظة°°°بها يصوغ اليراع صــالح الأمم

رجالك وصْفُهم أنــــــس ومحمدة °°° علم وفلســفة والوســـم بالكــــرم

سل الأغسطس قد صال بريشته°°°ولا الشمــوع تجلٍّي حالك الظـــلم

إبراهيم شيـــــــخ صـــــالح ورع°°°يدعو ببينـــــــــة يشيد بــــالقيــم أبــــــو مروان والكتــاب يسنـــده°°°خاض الغمار بنور العلم والحلـم

هي الثقافة والأصــــــالة تسندها°°°تشــــع مسفرة بالعـــــز والكـــرم

عنابة حفلت بالضــــاد ترفعـــــه°°°إلى مصف العلا بالفكــــــروالقلم

وللمالــــوف في الموسيقى مأثرة°°°لتسكـــــر النفس بالنغمات والكلم

ثغـــــــــــر على البحر باسم طلق°°° ابشــربه وبالبشر خير متـــــسم

ومنه تنطـــــلق البشرى مزغردة°°°لتحمل العون والأفكار في زخــم

يابــــــــونة الأمس والرفاة شاهدة°°°تحدث الدهر بالتفصـــيل واللمــم

اليوم عنابة الغــــــــراء قد ورثت°°°مجدا أثيــــــلا محقا كامل الكــلم

نبع من الضــاد رقراق بلا كـــدر°°°يُـروى به الفكر بالألفاظ و القلــم

لازال إيــــــــدوغ الأشم وقد سما°°°الحارس الشهم عالي القدروالهمم

والبحر يجثو محـــــبا هائما جذلا°°°ولثمة الموج لــــلأطراف والقــدم

تنوع في المنــــــــاخ زاد بهجتها°°°لا للرتــــابة قالت آية الشــــــــمم

حين من الفصل والسماء صافية °°°كأن للشـــــــمس وهج قُدَّ من حمم

ويغضب الجو أحيانا حيث تــرى°°°آثـــــــــار غضبته في الثلج والديَّم

أهلا بغضبته حلــــــــــــــــت مبشرة°°°بموسم مثقل بالخـــير والنـــعم
